A great honour for the “Paths of Culture” from the world-famous tenor Placido Domingo, President of Europa Nostra.
“Lately, we have been following with great interest the launch of “the Paths of Culture” initiative, and its development in various parts of Greece, most recently in Marathon. We believe that this will contribute to the well-being of Greek citizens and also to bringing many Europeans to visit Greece also outside the tourist season, with evident positive impact on local economies”.
This special mention of the “Paths of Culture” was made in Placido Domingo’s congratulatory message to the ELLINIKI ETAIRIA – Society for the Environment and Cultural Heritage, on the occasion of its being honoured by the European Parliament with the European Citizen Award 2012.
