Start: the Fonias torrent parking lot
See: The path starting at the Fonias torrent parking lot is the most famous in Samothrace. In the first section, 1680 m long, up to the 1st Vathra, the route is very easy and the gradient very low. Arrived at the 1st Vathra, pass on the left bank of the stream and continue to ascend and climb following the clearly visible traces of an old path. Continue on the main path towards Kleidossi and reach a point that offers a beautiful view of the 3rd Vathra. During the rest of the ascent to the peak, you can stop in an idyllic landscape and (depending on the season) refresh yourself with the water of the torrent, which is particularly clear at this altitude. The path leads to the delightful 35 m high Kleidossi waterfall.
