Degree of difficulty: easy

Start: Archaeological Museum parking lot

See: The circular route starts from the parking lot of the Archaeological Museum and the site of the Sanctuary of the Great Gods. It climbs the paved path that leads to a dirt road. Then, takes another path whose traces are clearly visible and which, on a path shaded by trees, leads us to the Tower of Gateluzi. From there and for the rest of the hike until you reach the sea again, there is an enchanting view of the Tour de Fonias and the bay where the Fonias flows into the sea. Continue on the dirt road that leads to the hamlet of Alevantza. From there, go down on the paved road towards the west and continue walking with the sea on the right to return to the starting point, after having seen the Holy Stall (Iero Stassidi) – a place of pilgrimage in homage to the passage of the apostle Paul – and having crossed the rest area of Alevantza, ideal to stop and drink at the drinking water source. Finally, reach the remains of the ancient port and the entrance of the archaeological area of Palaeopolis.
